Leaders Bullets face Dedza test
TNM Super League leaders FCB Nyasa Bullets get a stern test in their quest to maintain a 100 percent record when they face unpredictable PremierBet Dedza Dynamos at Dedza Stadium this afternoon.
The People’s Team returns to competitive action after almost a three-week break due to Flames engagements.

They sit pretty at the summit of the flagship league with nine points, having won all their three games so far.
They will be welcoming back their coach Peter ‘Mjojo’ Mponda alongside players Lloyd Aaron, Yankho Singo, Wongani Lungu, Chawanangwa Gumbo, Richard Chimbamba, Chikumbutso Salima and Andrew Jovinala who were part of the Flames squad which faced South Africa in back-to-back African Nations Championship qualifiers.
They joined the rest of the squad yesterday ahead of this afternoon’s match.
In an interview yesterday, Mponda said they are cautious.
He said: “Dedza are a tricky side, you never know what to expect from them and they can be a tough nut to crack at their backyard.
“So, certainly not an easy fixture, but we are ready and hoping to keep up the momentum.”
The record 17-time champions have scored 12 goals, conceding just once as they seek to reclaim the title.
Dedza Dynamos mentor Andrew Bunya also said they are set for the encounter.
He said: “We are playing at home and the target is to win. Our take off hasn’t been good and we need to make up for that.
“There have been no special preparations just because we are playing Bullets. We treat all the teams with respect.”
The hosts are seventh with six points from four matches.
They kicked off the season on a bright note, stunning Creck Sporting Club 4-1 away before losing their next two matches against Mzuzu City Hammers 0-1 at home and 2-0 to Mighty Tigers away.
Dedza’s last league match was a 2-0 victory over Chitipa United at home.
Last season, Dedza versus Bullets league fixtures ended in draws. They drew one-all in the first round in Blantyre while the reverse fixture ended goalless.
Strikers Chifuniro Mpinganjira, Frank Sanudi and Lughano Kayira are some of the key men for Dedza while Bullets will look up to the likes of Nigerian forward Babatunde Adepoju, Salima, Aaron and Lungu.
